Klopfenstein's English Shepherds

Welcome to Klopfenstein's English Shepherds! 

 

  To give you a little insight, English Shepherds are considered American Farm Dogs and have been registered since the 1930's.  English Shepherds have several traits that make them special, including exeptional intelligence, herding livestock, devotion to their owners, and rodent preditors.  They are also not prone to wandering or running away but will faithfully guard and protect their home and territory. 

 

  English Shepherds are considered an athletic, meduim sized dog with a height ranging from 19-24" and a weight of approximately 40-70lbs.  They have a moderate hair coat that comes in four main color patterns: black and white, black and tan, sable and white, and tri-color (which is black, white, and tan).  

 

  Last but not least, English Shepherds want to be your friend and do what you do.  They will tend to be your shadow and follow you everywhere, putting their heart into whatever is asked of them.  Then, when the day is over they are content to lie down at your feet.
